Northern Arkansas may have the chance to see some snow this week, forecasters say.

The only winter weather likely this week would occur Tuesday night into Wednesday in the Ouachita Mountains or northern Arkansas in the form of snow, John Robinson, warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said in an email.

"The difficulty with this forecast is that temperatures several thousand feet above ground will be favorable for snow, but that chance decreases closer to the ground," Robinson said.

"At best, any snow would probably range from a few snowflakes in the air to maybe a dusting at some of the higher elevations."
