Oklahoma crews clearing highways after snowfall

OKLAHOMA CITY — State highway crews are clearing roads and bridges after a cold front delivered snow to much of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said crews are clearing highways southeast of the Oklahoma City area. Highways are wet and drying in Oklahoma City as crews continue final clearing of shoulders and monitor bridges.

Crews are clearing a light accumulation of snow and treating slick spots on highways in Delaware, Mayes and Ottawa counties, as well as bridges and overpasses in the Tulsa area.

Officials say drivers should be aware of slick spots, particularly on highway bridges, overpasses and exit and entrance ramps. If traveling out of state, motorists are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
