Oklahoma gas prices dip below $2 a gallon, AAA says

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma's statewide average price for a gallon of gasoline dipped below $2 Saturday, making it the second state in the nation to have an average statewide gas price fall below $2 per gallon since 2009.

The statewide average price for a gallon of regular gas in the state on Saturday was $1.997, AAA spokesman Michael Green said. On Friday, Missouri became the first state with an average gas price below $2 per gallon when the statewide average dipped to $1.98. Missouri's statewide average on Saturday had dipped even further to $1.96, according to AAA.

The national average gas price was $2.307 per gallon Saturday, and Green said the nationwide average has dropped for 93 days in a row, the longest streak since AAA started keeping daily records in January 2000.
