Game & Fish seeks comment on proposed hunting regulations

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is asking for public comment on the state's proposed 2014-15 wildlife and hunting regulations.

Among the proposals is to add a doe to the firearms bag limit in seven deer zones; add a deer hunt on the Steve N. Wilson Raft Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area; change the date of the modern gun youth deer hunt on the Wilson Wildlife Management Area; and make it illegal to discharge or possess fireworks on commission-owned or controlled property.

The proposals also would allow harvest of feral hogs only during bear, deer and elk firearms seasons on some Wildlife Management Areas and prohibit harvesting feral hogs on other wildlife management areas.
