Chris Olsen and Bob Byers are the keynote speakers for the annual Jefferson County Home & Garden Seminar & Show, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Master Gardeners of Jefferson County will be on hand to answer questions, and there will be how-to sessions on home security, building rain barrels and making terrariums. More than 130 booths are expected. For younger visitors, there will be a kids/teens corner. Olsen’s talk will be at 11 a.m. with Byers following at 1 p.m.

The Museum of Discovery, 500 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, invites people to find out at their new exhibit, “Tech City.” Featuring 12 interactive activity stations, the exhibit will remain on display Saturday-May 11. The Thea Foundation Gallery, 401 Main St., North Little Rock, presents a new exhibit of its own with “Specifically Universal,” work by Emily Wood that “explores and conveys a sense of place through the personalities of the people who inhabit that place.” It opens Friday and continues through Feb. 28. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and admission is free.

The opening reception, 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, open bar and music by the Funk a Nites. Admission is $10.

9 HUNGRY

Wild game will be served up gourmet style at A Taste of the Wildlife, 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Pine Bluff Country Club, 1100 W. 46th Ave., Pine Bluff.
