Grant County man held on child-porn counts

Officials at the Arkansas attorney general's office have arrested a Grant County man on possession of child pornography.

Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said Thursday that 27-year-old Bryan Mitchell Baker of Sheridan was arrested on 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

Baker was being held in the Sheridan jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether Baker had hired an attorney.

Investigators with the office's cyber-crimes unit who executed a search warrant at Baker's home seized a laptop computer and other electronic evidence. McDaniel said the evidence will be analyzed at the unit's forensic laboratory in Little Rock.

Baker has been under investigation since December after agents suspected that child pornography was at his home.
