Memphis high school coach, firefighter charged with rape

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Prosecutors say a high school coach and a Memphis firefighter have been charged with having sex with two 17-year-old girls.

The Shelby County district attorney's office says Bolton High School assistant baseball coach Michael Lewis and firefighter Bryan Wilson were arrested Thursday on accusations of aggravated statutory rape.

Prosecutors say the 31-year-old men live together in a home in suburban Bartlett. Prosecutors allege Lewis was sexually involved with a 17-year-old student since last year, including having consensual sex in a classroom. Lewis also was charged with statutory rape by an authority figure.

Prosecutors say the other girl told authorities she spent the night with Wilson and had consensual sex with him.

Court records do not show whether the men have lawyers. A phone number listed under their address rang unanswered Friday.
