Mississippi man killed after vehicle flips

A Mississippi man was killed Thursday after his vehicle overturned in Osceola.

Michael McMullen, 29, of Olive Branch, Miss., was driving north on U.S. 61 in Mississippi County about 3:11 p.m. when the 2004 Chevrolet he was driving left the road, he overcorrected and the vehicle overturned, according to an Arkansas State Police report. McMullen was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.

The skies were cloudy and the road dry at the time, according to the report.

McMullen's death marks the 35th to occur in accidents on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary state police figures.
