Shooting at club leaves one dead, one critical

One man was killed and another critically wounded after shots rang out at a club in Little Rock early Monday morning.

No arrests have been made in the 1:40 a.m. shooting at the Quarter Note at 4726 Asher Ave.

Police reported finding 27-year-old Brandon West suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. He was taken by ambulance to UAMS Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

Another victim, 21-year-old Jonathan Talley, was driven to Arkansas Children's Hospital by two men, including one who police said had marijuana and a large amount of cash in his possession. Talley, who was shot at least once, died at the hospital.

According to a Little Rock police report, witnesses said West was shot in the front door of the nightclub after an argument inside. It wasn't clear where Talley was shot.

Two other victims were reportedly grazed by bullets, suffering injuries not believed to be serious.

Witnesses said there were two black men involved in the shooting, including one who was in his early 20s, stood 5-foot-6, weighed about 130 pounds and wore a black shirt and pants. No description of the second man was available.
