VIDEO: Bryant daycare worker seen dragging toddler

Surveillance footage released Wednesday by the Bryant Police Department shows a Bryant daycare employee, who is charged with child endangerment, dragging a toddler across carpeted floor.

Bryant police arrested Keyuanna Coats, an employee of Wisdom Tree Learning Center in Bryant, after the mother of an 8-month-old boy discovered carpet burn marks on his elbows after she picked him up from the daycare on Monday night.

The employee in the video, whom authorities identify as Coats, can be seen dragging a toddler by the leg twice from the same area. In one clip, it appears the adult kicks the toddler’s hand off of an object before dragging them.

When questioned by authorities, Coats admitted to dragging the toddler twice in an attempt to get him away from an area where cleaning supplies were kept. She added that she “never intended to cause harm to him,” according to an earlier statement from the Bryant Police Department.

Coats was taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the daycare and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, a felony.
