An officer and two suspects were shot Thursday when police executed a search warrant at a Helena-West Helena home, Police Chief Uless Wallace said.
The Helena-West Helena Police Special Crimes Unit had entered the home at 614 Claiborne about 6 p.m. when the officer was shot in the left arm. He was hospitalized and was in stable condition late Thursday. The condition of the suspects was unknown.
Wallace said officers were searching the home for drugs. The Arkansas State Police is investigating the shooting, spokesman Bill Sadler said.
