Graham Cobb

Where I live: I live in Cammack Village with my wife, Lisa, and children, William, 3, and Cecilia, 15 months.

Occupation: I’m the chief operating officer for the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. I have almost 2,000 member/bosses.

My favorite space is: My kitchen window counter.

Why? I love this spot. I love the windows and the natural light coming into the kitchen. I love to use this area as a chow line for casual cookouts. But, most of all, I love this counter because it has become the axis of our home. We have a pretty small space overall, but we have an open floor plan that allows it to play bigger than it really is.This counter is the catbird seat of the house. I can see in the living room. I can visit with my school-teacher wife in the dining room while she is grading at the table. I can see into the den and watch William play with his train table or build with blocks. At the same time, I can keep an eye on Cecilia, who is into everything. I might even catch a bit of a game on television as a bonus view. I love to cook. From here, I can see my grill on the deck, my stove and my oven. This is where I rule the roost!

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Remove the only major wall in the kitchen and open up the space even more. Keeping my counter, of course.
