Another minor earthquake shook part of north-central Arkansas on Friday night.

According to a news release from the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred around 10 p.m., with the epicenter identified near Clinton. The quake was also 34 miles from Conway to the west and 47 miles from Searcy to the east.

The earthquakes' magnitude was projected at a 2.2.

No injuries or damages have been reported as a result of the earthquake.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette recently reported that 14 families, most of which live in Greenbrier, are filing suit against natural gas-based companies over a series of earthquakes in that area. Those quakes, which are accused of being a product of the hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, in the region, forced the state to ban four natural-gas drilling disposal wells in that area in 2011.

The families are suing Chesapeake Operating Inc. and BHP Billiton Petroleum in Fayetteville, LLC, in Faulkner County Circuit Court.
