To enter, students submit original paintings, drawings, collages, mixed media, computer-generated art and photographs.

One winning student from each congressional district receives free airfare to attend the national reception in Washington in June, where an overall winner will be selected.

Winning artwork from each district hangs for one year in the Cannon House Office Building tunnel used to travel between the Capitol and congressional office buildings.

Details on how to apply are available online at house.gov/content/educate/art_competition.

U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission met with Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong, U.S. Sen. John McCain and Secretary of State John Kerry at a Washington event Monday evening celebrating 20 years of trade between the U.S. and Vietnam.
