A North Little Rock man has been charged with murder in the early-morning shooting of his roommate, police said Sunday.
Officers responded about 1:14 a.m. to 1104 Vestal St., where they found Paul Samaniego, 33, suffering from a gunshot wound in his chest, North Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said in a statement.
Samaniego was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-Springhill, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Officers arrested Samaniego's roommate, Marcus Foster, 32, on charges of first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, Dedrick said.
