An 18-wheeler traveling on Interstate 30 in Little Rock caught fire Monday morning, slowing traffic in the area.
It happened about 10:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes east of 65th Street.
Firefighters remained on scene at 11:30 a.m. working to put out the blaze. A short time earlier, a haze of white-gray smoke was coming from the front of the truck's trailer with burn spots visible on multiple points of its exterior.
The truck was on the shoulder with crews blocking the right-hand lane. Traffic was very slow through the area.
It wasn't clear what caused the fire. Scanner traffic indicated the truck was carrying auto parts.
