Heating-help application dates set in 12 counties

The Central Arkansas Development Council is to begin taking applications for heating assistance for low-income families.

The nonprofit agency will begin crisis intervention assistance to families with disconnect notices in the Crisis Low-Income Home Energy Assistance in 12 counties in central and south Arkansas.

Applications will be taken from 9 a.m-1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the State Fairgrounds' Arts and Crafts Building in Little Rock. Applications will be taken from 8 a.m.-noon Monday through Wednesday at the Arkansas Workforce Center of Little Rock on a walk-in basis, subject to staff availability.

Applicants must have a disconnect notice with a disconnect date within 7 days of application date, and households must meet income guidelines and furnish proof of all household income for the previous month.

Applications accepted in 11 other counties

Union County: 8 a.m.-noon Monday at the TAC House, 1101 North West Ave. in El Dorado. Also, 8 a.m.-noon Mondays-Wednesdays at the CADC El Dorado office, 1426 North West Ave. Information: (870) 864-0067.

Lonoke County: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Lonoke Community Center, 1355 Front St. in Lonoke. Also, 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the CADC Lonoke County office, 117 S.E. Front St. and 8:30 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the Ward Municipal Complex, 405 Hickory St.

Clark County: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Arkadelphia Fairgrounds, 1201 U.S. 67 South. Also from 1-4 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays at the CADC Arkadelphia Senior Activity Center, 1305 N. 10th St. and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays at Gurdon City Hall, 103 Maple St.

Ouachita County: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Carnes Park Teen Town Building 955 Adams St, in Camden. Also from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the CADC Ouachita County office, 313 Jefferson St. in Camden.

Saline County: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Gene Moss Building in Tyndall Park, 913 E. Sevier St. in Benton. Also from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the CADC Administration Building, 321 Edison Ave,

Hot Spring County: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Hot Spring County 4H Youth Center, 1407 Martin Luther King Blvd. in Malvern. Also from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the Arkansas Workforce Center of Malvern, 1735 E. Sullenberger Ave.

• Calhoun County: 8:30 a.m.-noon Thursdays at 210 S. Lee St. in Hampton.

• Columbia County: 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the Magnolia office, 1503 N. Vine St.

Dallas County: 8 a.m.-noon Mondays through Wednesdays at the Fordyce office, 410 E. Fourth St.

• Montgomery County: 8 a.m.-noon Wednesdays at the Mt. Ida Senior Activity Center, 158 Senior Drive.

Pike County: 8 a.m.-noon Tuesdays at the Glenwood Senior Activity Center, 229 Betty St., and from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays at the Murfreesboro Senior Activity Center, 120 E. Court, Suite A.
