Memphis police are investigating three sexual assaults that occurred at the same apartment complex.

Three women were attacked while in their homes at the Abington Apartments, 2622 Northumberland Lane, the Memphis Police Department said in a statement. The separate assaults occurred Feb. 9, Feb. 12 and Monday, police said.

The attacker is described as a thin black man, about 5-foot-7, who in one attack carried a gun and wore an orange shirt, a maroon and gray plaid jacket, and a black baseball cap.

Officers are patrolling the apartment complex, police said.

Meanwhile, Memphis officers are investigating a pair of sexual assaults against minors, both having occurred in the 600 block of Vance Avenue, that they believe to be related.

The two girls were each attacked while walking to school, one Dec. 3 and the other Feb. 5, Memphis police said.

That assailant is described as a black man, about age 30, about 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-2, with gold teeth and armed with a knife.

Memphis police officers are checking all leads and patrolling the area for suspicious activity, authorities said.

Anyone with information on any of the crimes is asked to call Memphis CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-2274 or the Police Department's Sex Crimes Bureau at (901) 636-3330.
