A 3-year-old boy died Feb. 14 after a crash in Scott County earlier this month, the Arkansas State Police said.
Luke Hughes of Springdale had been hospitalized at Arkansas Children’s Hospital since the Feb. 7 crash. He was a passenger in a Dodge van traveling north on U.S. 71 when it exited the highway and struck a tree.
The driver of the van, Christopher Hughes, also of Springdale, was not injured. State police reported Wednesday that icy road conditions caused the elder Hughes to lose control of the vehicle.
