Ad firm Cranford Johnson of LR earns 4 top awards

Little Rock-based Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods won four top awards, including best of show, in the 2013 AdFed Little Rock contest, which drew more than 400 entries from professionals and students in central Arkansas’ advertising community.

Cranford Johnson was honored for its “Fahrenheit 451 Book Cover.” The agency also was honored with “Best of Broadcast” for its “Sprinkler” campaign done for the Arkansas Municipal League; “Best Integrated” campaign for Oaklawn in Hot Springs; and and in the“Public Service” category for its Bookmark Guerrilla campaign for AR Kids Read.

The Nicholson Agency received a special judges’ award for its “Flight Plan” campaign for the Arkansas Federal Credit Union

The awards ceremony was held at the Arkansas Arts Center. AdFed is a chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Others honored with awards included: Thoma and Thoma; Sells Agency; Kara Darling Creative; Soundscapes; The Design Group; The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Arkansas Children’s Hospital; Soiree; and Inviting Arkansas.

In the student categories, Mary Elizabeth Asher from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville won a silver in the packaging category for her “Intense Dental Products” and Ciara Long of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway won a gold in the Stationery category for her “Energy Remedy Identity” package.

All gold and select silver winning entries will be forwarded to AAF District 10, which includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas for additional competition. And, packages chosen for gold awards will compete in the AAF National ADDY Awards later this year.
