Reba McEntire, Loretta Lynn, Bobby Bare to play Johnny Cash festival

The fourth-annual Johnny Cash Music Festival in Jonesboro will feature Country Music Hall of Fame members Bobby Bare, Loretta Lynn and Reba McEntire, organizers said Monday.

The Aug. 15 concert at the Convocation Center at Arkansas State University will be hosted this year by singer and comedian Mark Lowry.

“If we had any one of these four individuals on the bill, we would have an extremely successful event, but having all four at once is a real coup for the Johnny Cash Music Festival,” festival founder Bill Carter said in a statement. “The reputation of the event and generosity of the people at Arkansas State and in Jonesboro continue to grow each year. This is going to be a great show.”

The annual festival raises money for the restoration of Cash's boyhood home in Dyess and for a scholarship established in Cash's name.

Tickets go on sale Friday at the ASU central box office, online at www.tickets.astate.edu or by calling (888) 278-3267.
