SUN BELT BRADLEY 8, UALR 5

Bradley scored three runs in the sixth with the help of a Tanner Rockwell error to tie the game, then added two runs in the seventh and two more in the ninth to win for the second consecutive day at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock.

UALR (5-2) led 4-1 heading into the sixth when Spencer Gaa got on by an error by UALR left fielder Tanner Rockwell. Gaa later scored on a single by Greg Partyka, while Brady Wilkin drew a bases loaded walk to score another run and Eric Paulson drove in a run on a ground out.

Bradley (5-1) took a 6-4 lead on Partyka’s two-run double in the seventh and made it 8-4 on a Austin Jarvis two-run single in the ninth.

Ben Crumpton went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored for the Trojans, while Rockwell went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI and also scored a run. Austin Pfeiffer also drove in two runs for UALR.

ARKANSAS STATE 14, ILLINOIS STATE 8

JONESBORO - Matt Burgess hit a grand slam in the middle of a six-run third inning to help Arkansas Statesnap a four-game losing streak on Sunday at Tomlinson Stadium.

Lucas Feddersen hit a two-run single in the second and drove in another run with a double in the fourth for the Red Wolves (4-4), while Ty Michelotti hit four singles and scored twice.

ASU trailed 3-0 heading into the bottom of the second, but put up five runs in the second and six in the third. Every ASU starter had at least one hit, and five players drove in runs.

David Owen (2-0) gave up 6 runs on 8 hits in 5 innings, but earned his second victory thanks tot he Red Wolves’ outburst.

SOUTHLAND NEW JERSEY TECH 7, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 5

ABILENE, TEXAS - Jesse Uttendorfer scored on a wild pitch by Chris Caudle in the 10th inning and and Tom Bouck added an RBI single to lead New Jersey Tech to a victory over Central Arkansas in the Al Scott Memorial Baseball Classic.

UCA (2-4) twice had come came back from a deficit to tie the game. The Bears trailed 1-0 when Charles Deckard hit an RBI double in the second. They then trailed 5-2 heading to the bottom of the eighth when Doug Votolato hit a sacrifice fly and Nate Ferrell drew a bases loaded walk to get within 5-4.

Then, in the ninth, Tyler Langley tripled and later scored on Chris Townsend’s single. Townsend advanced to second on a wild pitch and Matt Anderson walked, but Votolato struck out to end the inning.

Votolato went 2 for 5 for UCA, while Ferrell drove in two runs.

SWAC CALIFORNIA 8, ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF 3

AUBURN, Ala. - California scored three runs in the first and four in the fourth to hand Arkansas-Pine Bluff its ninth consecutive loss to start the season Sunday at the Tiger Classic.

The Golden Lions (0-9) scored two runs in the third to get within 3-2, but managed only one other run.

Vince Bruco and Devon Rodriguez each hit home runs for Cal. Tyler Oertle, Kirby Campbell and Mitch Bruckshaw each scored runs for UAPB.
