PARIS — Authorities say an inmate at the Logan County jail has escaped the facility for the second time in less than four months.
The Logan County sheriff's office said 49-year-old Gary Patrick Topham was reported missing Tuesday morning from his cell at the county jail in Paris. Topham last escaped the county jail in November by climbing over a chain-link fence. He was discovered three days later in Booneville.
Topham was being held on charges of failure to appear, fleeing, manufacturing methamphetamine or cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.
The sheriff's office said Topham is a white man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 165 pounds.
He has brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing his black-and-white jail uniform and orange sandals.
