A dispute between relatives over money led to gunfire Monday night in Little Rock, according to a police report.

Adrienne Abraham told police that about 8 a.m., she went to a home in the 200 block of North Summit Street to collect $30 she was owed by her cousin, Elisa Brown. She and Brown got into an argument, and Abraham left without getting the money.

After being called multiple times by Brown, Abraham drove back to the home about 7:30 p.m. to collect the money. As Abraham approached the house, Brown was purportedly standing in the doorway with a gun. Abraham, 25, told police that she kept driving and that her cousin fired about four shots at the vehicle, according to the report.

A Summit Street resident’s vehicle was struck twice in the shooting, but no other damage and no injuries were reported.

“At least one shell casing was located by the suspect’s front door,” the report says.

Brown, 35, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member and committing a terroristic act.

She was also charged with obstructing governmental operations. Brown “refused to comply with multiple commands given by officers at the scene,” and “she did escalate the situation by involving her kids and causing a dramatic scene,” the report said.

Brown was additionally charged with attempting to influence a public servant. She purportedly told officers that she would report their actions to the assistant chief of police, Hayward Finks.

Brown was being held in the Pulaski County jail late Tuesday.
