TEXARKANA - One person is dead after a shooting at a Locust Street home in Texarkana, police said Tuesday.
About 1:25 p.m., Texarkana police received a call about the shooting, spokesman Jason Shores said. When officers arrived, they found one person dead in the home. No identification was immediately released.
About the same time, Texas-side officers responded to a shooting call on Ashley Street.
The stepmother of the victim in that shooting said her stepson, Devin White, had multiple gunshot wounds in his buttocks and hips.
Devin White was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wounds, Shawnee White said.
It was unclear Tuesday afternoon whether the two shootings were related.
