Starting today, street closures set for LR Marathon events

A number of streets will be closed beginning tonight because of the weekend’s Little Rock Marathon events.

Here is a list of times and locations for street closures and reopenings:

TODAY

7 a.m.-9 p.m. - Right-lane closure, La Harpe Boulevard from State Street to Convention Center.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY

7 a.m.-9 a.m. - President Clinton Avenue from River Market Avenue to Ferry Street.

SATURDAY CLOSURE

5 a.m. - La Harpe Boulevard westbound from Cumberland Street/President Clinton Avenue to Cross Street.

5 a.m. - President Clinton Avenue at Cumberland Street to include Rock, River Market, Sherman and Ferry streets, all at Second Street.

5 a.m. - Second and Cumberland streets (Close Interstate 30 off-ramp and detour to Second Street ramp).

5 a.m. - Close off-ramp from Broadway Bridge to La Harpe Boulevard, westbound.

5 a.m. - Eastbound La Harpe Boulevard at State Street.

5 a.m. - La Harpe Boulevard at Cross Street, eastbound detour to Cross Street.

6 a.m. - Third Street at Broadway, close northbound lane east side (5K race is turning north on Broadway at Third Street), right-lane closure.

6 a.m. Chester Street at Markham Street, northbound and southbound (5K race runs northbound on Chester Street to La Harpe Boulevard).

6 a.m. - State Street at Markham Street, northbound.

6 a.m. - Third and Cumberland streets to La Harpe Boulevard, northbound and southbound.

9 a.m. - Eastbound, Markham Street at Scott Street.

9:45 a.m. - I-30 eastbound off-ramp to Second Street (Kids Marathon) Little Rock Police Department vehicle.

9:45 a.m. - I-30 westbound off-ramp to Second Street (Kids Marathon) Police Department vehicle.

SATURDAY REOPENING

10:45 a.m. - I-30 eastbound off-ramp to Second Street.

10:45 a.m. - I-30 westbound off-ramp to Second Street.

12:30 p.m. - La Harpe Boulevard, eastbound and westbound.

12:30 p.m. - Broadway Bridge to La Harpe Boulevard, westbound.

12:30 p.m. - Eastbound Markham Street at Scott Street to River Market Street.

12:30 p.m. - Cumberland Street to Second Street.

12:30 p.m. - Chester Street at Markham Street, northbound and southbound.

12:30 p.m. - State Street at Markham Street, northbound and southbound.

SUNDAY CLOSURE

4 a.m. - Eastbound La Harpe Boulevard at State Street.

4 a.m. - La Harpe Boulevard westbound from President Clinton Avenue to Cross Street.

4 a.m. - President Clinton Avenue to include Rock, River Market, Sherman and Ferry streets at Second Street.

4 a.m. - Rock and Second streets - barricade on Rock Street to provide access to parking lot and garage.

4 a.m. - President Clinton Avenue to include Cumberland Street westbound and one lane of southbound (east side closed) up to Scott Street, westbound, leaving south lane eastbound open to Cumberland Street to allow access to I-30.

4 a.m. - Third and Cumberland streets to La Harpe Boulevard, northbound and southbound.

4 a.m. - Fourth Street and Broadway, northbound.

4 a.m. - Second and Cumberland streets (Close I-30 off-ramp and detour to Second Street ramp).

4 a.m. - Chester Street at Markham Street, eastbound and westbound.

4 a.m. - North Street at La Harpe Boulevard.

4 a.m. - Markham Street at State Street, eastbound and westbound of intersection.

4 a.m. - Close off-ramp from Broadway Bridge to La Harpe Boulevard, westbound.

4 a.m. - La Harpe Boulevard at Cross Street, eastbound detour to Cross Street.

4 a.m. - North Street westbound at La Harpe Boulevard.

5 a.m. - Cantrell Hill inside lane all the way to Lookout Road. (Right-lane closure.)

SUNDAY REOPENING

Roads will open up as participants go through the course, and the entire course should be open for traffic about 3 p.m.
