NLR police urge traffic caution near Verizon Arena for Winter Jam

North Little Rock authorities are asking drivers who will be in the area of Verizon Arena to exercise caution during the Winter Jam concert set for Friday night.

Verizon Arena said 16,000 people are expected at the concert, creating a high volume of traffic around the venue at East Broadway Street and Interstate 30. The crowd is expect to arrive early, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. before the Christian music concert starts at 7 p.m., Verizon said in a statement.

The North Little Rock Police Department is asking for central Arkansas drivers to “be aware of the large amounts of traffic in the area,” Verizon said.

Drivers are also asked to take alternate routes during the concert as to not add to congestion.
