A 2-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday in Lakeview, Arkansas State Police reported.
Anastasia Paige of Helena-West Helena was a passenger in a Volkswagen that struck a tree at the Arkansas 44-Arkansas 86 junction. The driver of the vehicle, Dante Knight, 21, lost control in a curve.
Anastasia, Knight and two other passengers were taken to Helena Regional Medical Center. Anastasia was pronounced dead at 1:45 a.m.
State police also reported Thursday that a man died Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in Greenbrier.
Steven Clayton, 33, was driving south on Clinton Mountain Road north of Wilson Bottoms Road when he lost control of his vehicle shortly before 10 a.m.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment and Clayton was thrown out.
He was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was later pronounced dead.
