Caddo sheriff offers briefing for senior citizens

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Sheriff's Office will hold a session for senior citizens Jan. 8-9 to discuss its operations and provide updates on crime trends in the parish.

Sheriff Steve Prator says the program is designed for residents 55 and older and will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon each day at the Caddo Sheriff's Re-Entry Facility, 1121 Forum Drive in Shreveport.

Deputies will talk about identity theft, scams and fraud, victim reparations, drug trends, how to file incident or accident reports and other topics.

Representatives of Legal Services of North Louisiana will discuss estate and will planning.

The academy is free and lunch will be provided.
