No injuries were reported in a Thursday afternoon fire that significantly damaged at least four units at a two-building apartment complex near Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock.
North Little Rock Fire Department crews used four water trucks to distinguish the blaze, which was reported about 1:41 p.m., at 2225 Fendley Drive.
The fire had been mostly extinguished by 2:20 p.m., when firefighters began evaluating the damage as a small plume of smoke could be seen rising from the rear of the building.
North Little Rock Fire Department Battalion Chief Roger Robinson said two units on the top floor sustained considerable fire damage, while the two units below them received extensive water damage.
While firefighters were on scene, North Little Rock Police Department officers blocked a section of Fendley Drive and detoured motorists to John Ashley Drive.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, Robinson said.
