A Mabelvale man has died after he was thrown from his vehicle in a Wednesday morning wreck.
Russell Springer, 29, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet truck south on U.S. 67/167 about 4 a.m. Wednesday when the truck ran off the right side of the road and overturned several times, according to an Arkansas State Police accident report. Springer was ejected from the truck, the report states.
He was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where he later died, state police said.
The accident occurred near mile marker 9, north of Redmond Road in Jacksonville. The weather was clear and the road dry at the time of the wreck, according to the report.
Springer's was the first road-accident death recorded by Arkansas State Police this calendar year.
