Beebe appears in first campaign ad for Mike Ross

Democrat Mike Ross turned to a familiar face in his first campaign ad in his race for Arkansas governor.

Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe appears in the new ad, which began running Sunday statewide. Beebe, who is term-limited, says Ross is a proven leader whose commitment to children and schools is "unwavering."

The 30-second ad ends with Beebe saying "no one is more independent than Mike."

Ross, a former congressman, has no announced opponent in the Democratic race for governor. Former U.S. Rep. Asa Hutchinson, businessman Curtis Coleman and state Rep. Debra Hobbs are all vying for the Republican nomination for governor.

Ross' campaign says the spot is a six-figure ad buy that will air over the next few weeks.

I love the fact we will choose between Asa and Mike most likely; actually if Ross is elected that would make 3 great Mike's in a row as our governor. He will have so much to live up to; I hope he can do it

They always trot out the 'children' and the 'schools' to sucker in the 'useful idiots' among us who never seem to notice that both our children and our schools have experienced ever increasing dysfunction under their watch.

The 30-second ad ends with Beebe saying "no one is more independent than Mike." BULL! Mike Ross independent?

No he is not, or he would not be running, after he said he would be retiring from politics. Course ole Mike Beebe seen that coming.

However, Mike Ross was dominated by Miss dominatrix Nancy Pelosi. Just look at his voting for Majority and Minority speaker of the House. Oh I know he or John Brummett will say that she was the only option, that is if one wished to protect one's political career, which gives cause to term limits for Congress.
