Woman's pit bull scares off would-be robber

Little Rock police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a 60-year-old woman Saturday night but then fled after the woman's pit bull began barking at him.

The attempted robbery occurred about 8:29 p.m. while Little Rock resident Millie Fiser was walking her dog on West 18th Street, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Fiser told officers that she noticed some trash on the street's corner and went to go throw it away. While she was picking up the trash, a man pushed her from behind and demanded that she give him all of her money, the report states.

She told the man she didn't have any money, her dog began barking at him and he fled east, according to the report.

Fiser suffered minor bruises on her right elbow and right palm, according to the report.

Police describe her attacker as a black man standing about 5-foot-11. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.
