Fire officials work Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, to extinguish a blaze at 2921 Juarez Drive in Pulaski County.

Authorities are working Friday morning to extinguish a fire at a Pulaski County trailer, sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said.

Minden said that about 9:27 a.m., a caller reported having "heard a boom" and said there was "a big fire" at a residence at 2921 Juarez Drive.

About 20 minutes later, Minden said, deputies notified Arkansas State Police to shut down a part of Arch Street, adjacent to Juarez Drive, to run a fire hose to the burning trailer.

The East End, Arch Street and Shawnee fire stations responded to the blaze.

MEMS and Entergy Arkansas also responded to the scene. Kenneth White, employed as a shift serviceman with Entergy Arkansas, said he was called to take the meter off the home so that electricity to the home could not be switched on later.

MEMS paramedic Courtney Hagar said there was no one inside the trailer.
