House passes bill targeting health-care law

By The Associated Press

This article was published January 10, 2014 at 11:08 a.m.

WASHINGTON — The House overwhelmingly passed a bill to impose new security requirements on President Barack Obama’s health-care law as Republicans maintained an election-year focus on the contentious program and its troubled rollout.

The vote Friday was 291-122 for the measure that Republicans said would address potential data breaches, though they offered no examples in which personal data had been compromised through the government website. There were 67 Democrats who joined with Republicans to back the measure.

The administration opposes the bill, which stands no chance in the Democratic-led Senate.

Bet it would have a chance in liberal Senate if there was a provision to add some new tax!

The Republican party politicians have a sterling track record of selling itself to the highest bidder with total and absolute disregard for the will or welfare of the American people. This is a fact and the evidence could fill a small library. With literally hundreds of situations that pose great and immediate concern to our country and the world at large not only now but far into the future they have chosen to spend their energy and our money to defeat a program that is designed to provide affordable healthcare to the majority of Americans.
WHY ? WHAT could possibly motivate an entire political party to totally disregard the will of the majority of American voters, to shut down vital Government services, endanger the national security, cripple a much needed economic recovery and turn citizens against each other on a scale not seen since the Civil War ?
Does ANYONE TRULY BELIEVE that they give a flying fig for our welfare ?????
How many of you foaming at the mouth "PATRIOTS" know (or care) that a majority share holder in the parent company of Fox News is a Saudi Sheik with financial ties to AlQuida ?
How many know or care that two of the richest men in the world with huge financial stakes in the repeal of this law are spending BILLIONS to influence voters, politicians and the very manner in which votes are counted ? Of course you don't. Because you are bigoted, ignorant bufoons who can't or won't think for yourselves and have chosen to wreck the bus because the rich kids don't like the driver.

.
Now, HOTDEM, take a deep breath and notice that a sizeable percentage of democrats voted with republicans in support of this bill. And I have a question for you. That tin foil you have on your head, did you buy that at Walmart or order it on the internet?
