Some slick conditions remain in parts of north Arkansas a day after a winter storm moved through much of the state.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department reported Friday on its online conditions map that slush remained on some highways north and east of Bald Knob, while ice patches were reported on Arkansas 7 between Harrison and Ozark and on Arkansas 23 north of Interstate 40.

A number of schools canceled or delayed class Friday morning because of continuing slick conditions.

The National Weather Service at 6 a.m. reported temperatures above freezing across the state ahead of expected rain.

Entergy Arkansas, which worked to repair power failures caused by the storm, on Friday morning said only 24 customers across the state were without electricity.
