Harding, Southern Nazarene players win awards

RUSSELLVILLE — Players from Harding University and Southern Nazarene were named players of the week for the Great American Conference.

Harding's Kristen Celsor won the award for her performance during the 10th week of the 2013-2014 season. The awards were announced Monday.

Celsor scored a career-high 36 points in the Lady Bisons' 92-75 win against Henderson State. It marked the fourth time this season that she has scored at least 30 points in a game. In Great American Conference play, she has averaged 23.5 points per game with a 59.6 field goal percentage.

Southern Nazarene's Quan Conner was named the men's basketball player of the week for the Great American Conference. Conner tied his career high with seven 3-pointers in an 84-70 home win against Southern Arkansas on Saturday.
