1 MATRIMONY

Little Rock’s Statehouse Convention Center becomes one big shopping center for brides-to-be and their retinues during the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Show, 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday.

For the show, 200 florists, caterers, photographers and other wedding-related vendors will be on hand. There will also be a presentation by P. Allen Smith at 2:30 p.m. and Runway Fashion Show at 4:30. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. VIB (Very Important Bride) tickets are $30 and include reserved seating at the fashion show. 2 MOVIES

For the grand opening of the Ron Robinson Theater in the Central Arkansas Library System’s new Arcade Building, President Clinton and River Market avenues, Little Rock, the Little Rock Film Festival is planning a week-long series of film events, Friday-Jan. 25, starting with a screening at 7 p.m. Friday of Ain’t in It for My Health, a documentary about Arkansas native Levon Helm, followed by a question-and-answer session with his daughter, Amy Helm, and a 9 p.m. concert by Amy Helm and Handsome Strangers. Saturday’s schedule: 3 p.m., “Best of the LRFF’s 48 Hour Film Project”; 7 p.m., Sleepy LaBeef Rides Again, a documentary/concert film about Arkansas native Sleepy LaBeef followed by a Q&A with LaBeef and Dave Pomeroy and their 8:30 p.m. concert. Try some local beers at the Big Red Ball Homebrew Contest, 7 p.m. Friday at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock. University Ave., Little Rock. This benefit for Spark of Life grief recovery will also include a performance by Bobby Cool, a live on-stage painting by Trey McCarley and a silent auction. Delve into a shadowy world as the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock presents its newest exhibit, “Spies, Traitors, and Saboteurs: Fear and Freedom in America.” This exhibit, created by the International Spy Museum, opens Saturday and continues until April 27. The center is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m.
