For 90%, Medicaid plans’ cost to be zero

About 90 percent of those who have enrolled in private, Medicaid-funded insurance plans under the so-called private option have incomes below the federal poverty level, meaning they will not have any required out-of-pocket spending for medical care, state Medicaid Director Andy Allison told legislators Thursday.
