An 18-year-old Little Rock man was arrested Thursday on accusations he beat another teen and robbed him of his phone, according to a police report.

Walter Jones was arrested about 5:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of Denham Drive in Little Rock.

According to an arrest report, Jones beat the 17-year-old victim with his fists and then took a Samsung Galaxy phone worth about $700.

It wasn't clear whether the victim was injured in the purported assault.

Jones remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday morning with bail set at $16,000. He faces charges including robbery and theft of property.

Why is the 18-year-old in this story a man, when the other 18-year-olds arrested in other stories today listed as teens?
