Police identify victims in Pine Bluff shooting

Three victims involved in a Saturday night shooting in Pine Bluff have been identified, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Lt. Terry Hopson told Arkansas Online that the man who was fatally shot Saturday evening was 37-year-old Keson Coney. Two people who were wounded were identified as Pine Bluff residents Marcus Brown, 36, and Stacy Rucker, 42. Brown is in critical condition and Rucker is in stable condition, Hopson said.

No suspect has been identified in the shooting, but Hopson said police believe there was only one shooter. Witnesses described the shooter as a black man with a "slim build" and "medium height," Hopson said. The shooter was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt and running west from the 17th Avenue and Beech Street intersection, where the shooting took place.

Hopson said the shooter approached the three victims while they were sitting in a car at the intersection, but it was not immediately known why the shooter opened fire on the victims.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the police department's detective division at (870) 730-2090 or the Pine Bluff Dispatch Center at (870) 541-5300.
