Three killed in separate Memphis shootings Monday

Three people died in three separate shootings Monday in Memphis, authorities said.

No arrests have been made and no descriptions of the shooters were released. It wasn't clear if any of the cases were related.

The first occurred about 6:10 a.m. at the Easy Way Distribution Center at 4545 South Mendenhall Road, according to a Memphis Police Department news release. David Carter, 57, died at the scene after being shot at least once.

About 12:45 p.m., officers found 32-year-old Corteras Wilburn suffering from a gunshot wound at the Bent Tree Apartments, 3461 Briarpark Loop, police said. He later died at Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Authorities say William Jennings, 60, also died at Regional Medical Center after he was shot around 1 p.m. at 1910 Asa Drive.
