A Prescott woman on Tuesday claimed a $100,000 prize won with a Million Dollar Raffle ticket, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said.

Joysland Green won with a ticket purchased at the Shell Prescott Mart.

The lottery said Green plans to use some of the money to buy a new car and will give some to her grandchildren.

The raffle numbers were drawn Jan. 2. One ticket — purchased by a Fayetteville man — won a top jackpot of $1 million and five tickets won $100,000 prizes.

The lottery earlier this month said it would conduct a thorough review of the raffle game after it lost about $284,000.

Was this lottery "game" part of the U of A's fund raising????

Really, I guess since our elected representatives aka "the Ledge" got their way and got rid of the person who knew how to run a lottery, we should not be surprised that they continue to throw away money.
