A Little Rock man's car was stolen by two men Thursday night after he left it running to greet an acquaintance, authorities said.

Sung Kim, 19, told officers that shortly after 8 p.m. he had spotted someone he thought he recognized in the area of Jackson Street and Charles Bussey Avenue. Kim said he left his maroon 2000 Toyota Camry running with the keys still in the ignition, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

While he was out of his car, Kim told police, he noticed two men walking toward his vehicle, the report states. He began "making his way" toward his car when the two men ran to his vehicle, got inside and began to drive off, police said.

"He held onto the [car's] window while [the car] was in motion," the report states. "He was [dragged] by the vehicle about 100 feet before he finally let go."

Kim walked to 1808 S. Jackson St. and told officers that he "believed one of the suspects had a gun in his waistband," but added that the gun was not displayed.

MEMS responded to the scene to treat Kim's minor injuries but said he should go to the hospital, according to the report. Kim's girlfriend and her mother took Kim to St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center; his condition wasn't immediately available.

The robbers are described as black men, one about 5-foot-10 and the other about 5-foot-11, the report states.

That vehicle will most certainly be involved in a crime and found abandoned and burned.

Kim said he left his maroon 2000 Toyota Camry running with the keys still in the ignition (at Jackson Street and Charles Bussey Avenue), not the best neighborhood to do this.

Without regard to where the victim was, lowlife ghetto thugs should not be stealing cars. One shouldn't leave their car running - it wastes fuel - but one should be able to do so without fear of some trash stealing their ride. LR Bait Car - that would be good.
