This article was published January 27, 2014 at 12:10 p.m.

Crews performing maintenance work on Interstate 430 in Little Rock and North Little Rock will result in rolling lane closures for drivers this week.

According to a news release from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, work to improve the outside lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions of I-430 will require those lanes to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting. The outside northbound lane will be closed on Wednesday, while the outside southbound lane will be closed Thursday.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving in the area as traffic will be dictated by warning signs, cones and escort vehicles, the department said.
