Lighting work to cause lane closures on I-30 bridge

Crews working on lights on the Interstate 30 bridge will cause temporary lane closures later this week, according to a news release from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.

Per United States Coast Guard requirements, the navigational lights on the I-30 bridge will require maintenance on Thursday, which will cause the closure of both outside lanes in the westbound and eastbound directions.

The eastbound outside lane on the bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday, while the westbound outside lane will be closed from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Warning signs and traffic barrels will be in use during the work. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
