In this Nov. 6, 2013, file photo, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. speaks on Capitol Hill in Washington.

LITTLE ROCK β€” Potential 2016 Presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is speaking at a fundraiser for the Republican Party of Arkansas.

The Kentucky lawmaker is scheduled to speak at a state GOP event at the Hot Springs Convention Center on Friday night. The party is gathering in Hot Springs for its winter state committee meeting Saturday.

Paul was scheduled to speak at a state GOP event in December, but it was rescheduled because of winter weather.

Paul was elected to the Senate in 2010 and is the son of former Texas congressman and unsuccessful presidential candidate Ron Paul.

UTAH ...... School lunch trays were taken away from children before they could eat them at an elementry school because they had a negative balance in their school lunch account. For the rest of the story goto:

Tom Cotton and the Arkansas legislature will be bringing this frugal nutritional idea to your school district in the near future. I am sure Rand Paul will be on board with this idea as well.

Sorry, but he is one of the few sane folks in government. The rest are a bunch of spineless weasels taking us down the wrong road. We need another Ronald Reagan desperately!

DCMN, Lady Thatcher or Sir Winston Churchill would work also.

I would like somebody who is Republican to explain to me whether their foreign policy is pro-Rand Paul or pre- Tom Cotton. Paul and other libertarians think that we should stay out of virtually all foreign conflicts. Tom Cotton thinks that we should increase our participation in all foreign conflicts and fight for democracy everywhere. Obama and Clinton (Hillary) are in the middle and think we should pick our fights. (I am somewhere between Obama/Clinton and Rand Paul.) Where are you Republicans on this spectrum?

Hey Populist - Foreign policy isn't a Republican or Demorat thing, it's a what is best for America thing. It seems today's conservatives (Republicans) are more likely to support kicking ass and taking names overseas than today's pacifist libs (Demorats). The key is to protect America and American interests. Outside of that, we have no business worrying about atrocities in other parts of the world. Or do we? When everybody, including prominent Dems thought Saddam (sp?) had WMD's and was prepared to use them against America, I supported using military force to kill the bastard. Ultimately, it was learned Saddam didn't have those WMD's (or had time to get them out of the country due to our telegraphing our move). Were we still wrong to remove his government by force?
.
Let's keep the foreign policy debate in the context of what is best for America and stop the partisan politics nonsense. But if we are going to err, I vote to do it on the side of protecting America by all means necessary. Does that answer your question?
