LITTLE ROCK — Potential 2016 Presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is speaking at a fundraiser for the Republican Party of Arkansas.

The Kentucky lawmaker is scheduled to speak at a state GOP event at the Hot Springs Convention Center on Friday night. The party is gathering in Hot Springs for its winter state committee meeting Saturday.

Paul was scheduled to speak at a state GOP event in December, but it was rescheduled because of winter weather.

Paul was elected to the Senate in 2010 and is the son of former Texas congressman and unsuccessful presidential candidate Ron Paul.
