Amanda Leanne Weir became the bride of Prosper Majyambere at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Fellowship Bible Church. Shelby Smith officiated.

Parents of the bride are Lynda Lee and Charles B. Weir of Little Rock. Her grandparents are Joyce and Charles Weir, Marlene Wheeler Lee and the late Maj. Philip Lee, all also of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Marceline and the late Theodore Habamungu of Eastern Province, Rwanda.

The altar held two large arrangements of calla lilies. Music was by pianist Alan Price.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white iridescent organza gown. The ruched bodice had a strapless sweetheart neckline and the skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.

Johanna Leskinen of Atlanta served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Riley of Birmingham, Ala., and Anitha Kobusingye of Searcy and Kigali, Rwanda. They wore black knee-length dresses and carried calla lily bouquets.

Best man was Oliver Ferguson Jr. of Houston. Groomsmen were Connor B. Weir of Birmingham, brother of the bride; Kindel Burkett of Lubbock, Texas; Jimmy Shyaka of Kigali; and Moses Rotich of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Jean de Dieu Mutangana of Santa Barbara, Calif.; Kayihura Manigaba and Alex Mugengana, both of Memphis; and Kenneth Waluube and Amlam Niragire, both of Searcy. Ring bearer was Vaughn Seelicke of Little Rock.

A reception in the plaza of Fellowship Bible Church followed the ceremony. Buffet tables covered in black and white tablecloths and burlap overlays held large arrangements of calla lilies. Guest tables held a mix of low and tall arrangements of calla lilies. Assisting were Morgan Morris of Fayetteville and Heather Minton of Oxford, Ala.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a bachelor's degree in political science with an emphasis in conflict resolution and a minor in Africana studies. She studied abroad a semester in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and interned for the State Department in Vienna. She was a member of Pi Alpha Alpha. She is on staff in the development office at Africa New Life Ministries.

The groom, a 2008 Rwandan Presidential Scholar, has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Harding University in Searcy. He graduated summa cum laude with a master's degree in telecommunication engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He is a systems design specialist with Day Wireless Systems of Portland, Ore.

After a wedding trip to Vail, Colo., and Sisters, Ore., the couple will live in Happy Valley, Ore.
