MEMPHIS — A Memphis man has been indicted on murder charges after telling investigators his wife was shot in the face accidentally as the pair struggled over a gun.
A grand jury on Monday charged 35-year-old Detrick Turner, 35 with first-degree murder for the Feb. 21 slaying of 34-year-old Sharice Turner.
Prosecutors say Sharice Turner was shot twice, though investigators say they found no signs of a struggle in the home.
Turner remains jailed in lieu of $300,000 bond. Jail records did not list an attorney for Turner.
